Textile Enrichments Series Lecture & Exhibit Tour
Jan 16, 2010; 1:00pm. Please join us for a lecture and exhibit tour with Lura Schwarz Smith, author of ÒSecrets of Digital QuiltingÓ due for release in early 2010. LuraÕs work has received many awards and her quilt, ÒSeams a Lot Like DegasÓ was included in "100 Best American Quilts of the 20th Century." Her work has been included in many national and international quilt exhibits, including the Ò30 Distinguished Quilt Artists of the World" exhibit at the first Tokyo Dome international quilt show.
Textile Enrichment Series QSIÑQuilt Scene Investigators - February 20, 2010; 11:00-1:00 or 2:00-4:00 pm Ann Bodle-Nash, Certified Quilt Appraiser, and Anne Dawson, Quilt Restorer, will evaluate your quilts, antique to new. Learn the identity, age, and how to care for your treasures. You will also pick up a bit of quilt history along the way. Two sessions on Saturday, February 20, 2010; 11-1 or 2-4. Cost: $25 for analysis of two of your quilts, $20 for analysis of one quilt, or $15 for presentation only. Admission to Museum is included. Seating is limited. Featuring Workshops with teachers: Elly Sienkiewicz, Nancy Lee Chong, Heidi Lund, Barbara Shapel, Maureen Goldsmith, Meg Hawkey (Crabapple Hill), Teri Bever, and Marcia Harmening.
Also featuring a Silent Auction, Specialty Vendors, and a Quilt Walk in local La Conner shops.
